Something Old and Something New

That magical day Shannon and I wed is forever going to be an unforgettable part of my life. I don't think I could have asked for anything more. Shannon planned and coordinated almost all of it; she lovingly asked for my opinion on everything; she stayed up-beat and mostly stress free the entire way through (who could ask for that??). I love her with all my heart. I enjoyed kind of joking that, "I planned the engagement, so you get to plan the wedding," hahaha.

To top off getting married and having everyone congradulate us, we got a bunch of gifts (thank-you's coming soon!!), which were just unbelievable... Going back - I felt really out of place putting together a gift registry. In fact, I had to have the wifey tell me constantly that getting married was a time to get gifts. It was so hard to believe. It made me speechless really, but grateful. Thank you everyone for making what would have already been the best day of my life that much better.

Well, almost as soon as we were back from our honeymoon did we start looking at the next stages of our life together. Like what kind of family we want to be, if we want to keep going to school, what career paths we're going to take, and all that. I'm glad to say that Shannon is bringing a lot of common-sense and perspective to my point of view. She's helping me make a lot of decisions that I needed guidance in; and like-wise, I help her in her decision making process, but it's more like my ideals, hopes and ambitions.

Anyway, for right now, we are mostly just looking forward to being apart of each-other's holiday traditions and family celebrations. We're looking forward so much to creating traditions of our own and bringing what we love most into the scene.

I think that covers all the bases. Anymore blogs I do will be a bit more concise :)

Love and cheer to everyone this season,
   Daniel
